Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Lytchett are seeking an enthusiastic Gardener to develop and maintain our wonderful outdoor learning environment which has beautiful 2 acre allotments and garden spaces. We require a knowledgeable and skilled gardener to add the detail in making the space both beautiful to look at and a fabulous sensorial experience for the children at the kindergarten.
This will include; extensive planting to add colour and scents, maintaining a large allotment space, working collaboratively with our Chef to create produce for the childrens home cooked lunches, introducing areas and plants to ensure the garden attracts a wide variety of local birds and insects, the usual garden maintenance and supporting creating new and exciting learning spaces for the children.
You will also be passionate about sharing your knowledge and skills with the children and adults of the kindergarten so they are fully immersed in the experiences you are creating, including a deep understanding of seed to plate growing, cultivating and looking after plants, understanding the important role of living things to support the rich biodiversity in the habitats you create.
You will have a generous budget for development and maintenance of the space.
This is a full time position requiring some flexibility in hours to ensure maintenance of the space at the weekend during the hotter months.
Start date: TBC
Salary: £28,044.90
Hours: 42.5hrs per week, working 08.00-16.30 Monday-Friday.
